Its always great to hear when an artist starts to “make it”, and this print was the one that started Alex’s journey upwards towards greatness. His Akira print was the one that made people sit up and take notice. His entire run of these posters sold out in 24 hours after launch. Alex had this to say about his Akira print on his Behance page;
“I spent two months working on this personal illustration using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop CS5. After countless hours and 400 layers I'm excited to share the final product! I really pushed myself to the next level with this one by experimenting with some new techniques and practicing extreme patience. I hope you all enjoy!”
The poster came in two sizes - 11”x17” and 24”x26” - and there was 100 copies produced of each size.
