Synopsis:
Halloween cemented director John Carpenter’s position as El Numero Uno in Horror back in the late 70’s. Produced on a budget of just $325’000, this small independent film went on to gross over $70 million worldwide at the box office. Halloween is credited by many as the starting point for the whole slasher genre with Michael Myers becoming a household name within the horror genre. The Halloween franchise began when the first novel appeared less than a year after the release of the first film, and then seven sequels have followed. In 2007, a remake of Halloween was produced, with a direct sequel released two years later.
